We priced solutions that sellers can go to these buyers with, to create very specific demand generation activities to capture this market. The AI then helps evolve the story and allows sellers to upgrade their storytelling in ever more nuanced ways to reach potential buyers.
Ultimately, fine-tuning AI in these ways frees up sellers to focus on the most lucrative potential deals, and at scale. This in turn helps ensure a superior seller AND buyer experience. But the seller accepted it, and I thought that was very nice of them. And yesterday, I missed an auction by the hairs of a similar-ish item I wanted to complete a collection and messaged the seller about relisting it with a BIN so I could buy it.
I didn't really expect a response, especially not too soon, but the next day the item was up with a BIN. I hadn't gotten a reply to my message, but that was still very nice of the seller to go a little out of their way when they could have ignored me. I think it was apparent that I would have bid on the item anyway if it had been kept an auction, but the BIN really saved me a nice week's wait, and I appreciate it. Be sure not to reveal exactly what the seller did in your feedback.
You don't want to give an unscrupulous buyer a chance to take advantage of a trusting seller. Nice to know some of those sellers still exist on Ebay. I've had some wonderful sellers. About 13 years ago I started collecting the silverplate flatware that I have, I didn't hardly know anything about it, how many different pieces were made what they looked like or anything. One of the first sellers I purchased a piece from made copies out of two of his reference books for that pattern and sent them to me with the piece.
That helped me out so much. I had a seller randomly send me a sample item weeks after a purchase. Of course they wanted me to buy more but it sure was nice to receive a sample and a letter than just a generic store newsletter by email. Your seller printed his shipping label, but may not have actually taken the package to the post office.
However, clearly he was anticipating you as a great buyer and was confident you would pay very quickly. It was a dangerous move on his part, though. There are a lot of buyers out there who might not have paid right away, or even paid at all. I agree it is a risky move! I don't do it myself as a seller because I'm afraid I would get burned.
